Lent is no match for Super Rodent!

This is the third week of Lent for Roman Catholics. Two weeks ago, I reposted my yearly observation on the inane perplexities of Lenten dietary restrictions; “Is it OK to eat Chicken in a Biskit crackers on Fridays during Lent?” Today, I’m reposting what’s already become another Lenten classic, last year’s “Lent is no match for Super Rodent!”

Most of the topics I write about on this blog are serious matters involving spiritual life and death, but there are occasions when I come across something that can only be categorized as sadly comical. Case in point:

This year, the Catholic church’s Lenten season runs from Wednesday, March 6th to Thursday, April 18th (dates revised for this re-post) and Catholics are strictly forbidden from eating meat on all six of the Fridays during that span under the threat of mortal sin and eternal damnation. But getting down to the nuts…

Hi, I am a Born Again Believer and Follower of The Lord Jesus Christ and saved by Grace through Faith and not by works and a Redeemed sinner and covered by The Blood of Jesus and I have a personal relationship with Jesus. An Evangelist who preaches the Gospel and I believe that Jesus came to the earth was born of a virgin died on the Cross for our sin and rose again from the dead 3 days later and is coming back very soon And Jesus is the God Man Fully God Fully Man And I believe the Bible is the Word of God and that Jesus is The Way and Only Way to get to God. Check out these Bible Verses. John 14:6 New King James Version (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 11:25-26 New King James Version (NKJV) 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 1 Corinthians 15:3-5 New King James Version (NKJV) 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by [a]Cephas, then by the twelve. Ephesians 2:8-10 New King James Version (NKJV) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Colossians 2:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing [a]to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. God Bless! MARANATHA!! Yet not I, but through Christ in me

      1. I know a Catholic I have given them Bible Verses even the one about Jesus being the Onlt Mediator and have shared the the speech He had me say at the first funeral I had last year that had the Gospel and they are still Catholic I don’t get it? They asked me once if all sins are equal didn’t know what to say so never answered back. I’m not good when it comes to Catholics.

      2. Yep pretty much I mean their canons damn us. I can say on here Catholics aren’t Christians and we agree if I say that in private people wouldn’t like that. And yet they can say He is Risen and I say amen.

      3. Although Catholics use some of the same phraseology as evangelicals, they often mean something entirely different. Catholics believe as they are taught that they were “born-again” when they were baptized as infants.
