If You Were To Die Today

Many of you know I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior my freshman year in college in 1996 through the ministry efforts of Campus Crusade for Christ.  During my entire four years at the University of Northern Colorado I was blessed with a great mentor and friend who was the Director of Campus Crusade at the time.  His name was Jim, but we called him Jim Bro because he called all the guys “bro.”  I received discipleship training in the Word and evangelism and soon I was sharing Christ all over campus with Jim and the other brothers from Crusade.  I want to share one of the questions Jim would ask when we were sharing Christ.  It is a shocking question and the answers people gave were very interesting and revealing.

The question is this:

If you were to die today, how sure are you that you…

What Can We Do When We Are Bullied Within the Body of Christ?

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

I never thought that I would write this piece.  Whenever I would think about it, I would just shake it off.  It’s not that important, right?

But then I began to wonder if other brethren had been mistreated and were hurting because of this.  It’s then that I realized that even if a handful of brothers and sisters in Christ were being mistreated by other Christians – then this IS important.

A Real Conundrum

We expect to be mistreated from those in the world. Actually, if we are not mistreated by those in the world, then perhaps we should take a hard look at our walk with the Lord and our testimony.

But when others who we truly believe are brothers and sisters in Christ verbally batter us to try to make us feel inferior or just not very important in the body of Christ- this is a big…

Just a Thought

Truth in Palmyra

Obedience to God’s Word is never an accident. Satan’s attacks are intentional, and our preparation for the needs to be intentional also.

Daniel 1:8

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Beware of the Media Spin on the New Zealand Mosque Massacre

Looking for the Blessed Hope

Image result for mosque new zealand

As you know, tragedy struck New Zealand on Friday as a white supremacist and self-proclaimed neo-Nazi opened fire on two mosques while Muslim worshipers were praying. The killer live streamed the massacre on social media after posting a manifesto on Facebook.

To be very, very clear: Regardless of who the victims are, there is never justification for killing others simply because of their race or because they do not believe as we do. This was a demonic act of extremism by a very sick and deranged man, and I 100% condemn what took place in those New Zealand mosques.

However, I want to highlight what the media has not told us, and that is that the killer did not make one statement (positive or negative) about Muslims in the lengthy manifesto detailing how and why he was about to take the lives of innocent people. In fact, he specifically indicated…

Modern Day Tale of Jonah and the Great Fish

Looking for the Blessed Hope

Most of us cannot imagine swimming with whales, much less encountering one up close and personal. However, that was Jonah’s experience, and the recent experience of a man named Rainer Schimpf .

The Lord told Jonah the prophet to go to Nineveh, yet he rebelled and ran the opposite direction. He boarded a boat in Joppa and set sail across the Mediterranean Sea, only to be tossed overboard because he believed the raging storm that engulfed them was a result of God’s anger with him.

Into the sea he went, only to be swallowed by a great fish. While it is hard to understand just how he survived (God took care of that!), the Bible tells us he remained in the belly of the great fish for 3 days before being spit up on shore. Likely bleached by digestive juices and smelling horrific, the Lord had succeeded in getting his…

Third Temple and Trump

Terry James Prophecy Line

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 50:10-11)

God has spoken the precise consummation of history. His Word about these matters will come to pass. The world’s global elite might not like it; the diplomats of the world might resent it. God’s word about the wind-up of history, however, cannot–will not–be changed.

In filming documentaries on prophecy, whether it’s about Bible prophecy, or prophecy by the Nostradamuses of their times throughout history, the documentarians make sure a certain statement is made in summation: “These prophecies…
