Truth in Palmyra

The successful Christian life is never an accident

Daniel 1:8

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

PREPARING FOR 2020: Microsoft Partners With Liberal Disinformation Company NewsGuard To Blacklist Stories That Support A Conservative Viewpoint — Now The End Begins

NewsGuard, which is the establishment media’s latest effort to blacklist alternative media sites, is giving its sign of approval to proven hoaxes, even to stories that have been retracted. This story is personal for me, let me tell you why. Back on January 6th of this year, I was contacted by a woman named Jennie…

The Hand of God

A New Life

giphy (2).gif

Oh Lord how I wonder how large are your hands.

Can you really cause them to rest upon all our lands?

With a thumb on one coast and a pinky on another shore.

Grasping our earth, dominion over it all, to its inner core.

With a flick of your wrist, you swat off meteors headed earth’s way.

Like a filter, your hand protects us from the sun’s fierce rays.

And all the while your hand is making these decisions,

your steady hand is guiding a surgeon as he makes his incision.

How can hands so large be upon the tinniest of cells.

Purifying and replenishing where cancer finds its place to dwell.

Oh Ancient of Days, oh Son of Man,

Majestic Messiah, The Lion and The Lamb…

Have Your miracle working, powerfully protecting, loving hand

upon all of our lives. Upon all of hearts, may You always stand!

My Salvation is a Gift

Lift Up Your Eyes!

I am so glad that my salvation does not depend on me because, no doubt, I would find a way to mess it up. But in Jesus I have salvation: Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption. Therefore I glory in Him.

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption31 that, as it is written, He who glories, let him glory in theLord.
1 Corinthians 1:30-31 NKJV

Notice the above Scripture begins with “But.” Why? God will not put up with me bragging that I had something to do with making it to heaven. No flesh can ever glory in His presence!

26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.27 But God has chosen the foolish things…

Dandelions Among the Wheat

Where Living Begins

For much of the 1990s, I managed a real estate and property management company. One day an elderly woman called for help finding a small house she could rent and easily care for. She had just moved from Florida and her only requirement was for the front yard to be filled with the beautiful yellow flowers so common in Pacific Northwest yards.

I was stumped. It was summer and the only yellow flower I could think of was the daffodil, but the woman insisted it wasn’t the right flower.

After really considering her request I realized what she was after: she wanted a yard full of dandelions. Dandelions sure look pretty to the uninformed, but to a native Oregonian they they will always be obnoxious weeds, growing only where you don’t want them. They spread like a plague and are near impossible to eradicate. She wanted a yard full of weeds and didn’t…

Joy lives on the inside. Happiness only comes from the outside.

God’s joy lives independently. It is self sustaining and sustains.

Joy creates…It creates hope.

Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV)

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD IS your strength.”

The joy of the LORD “IS” implies that joy is established…just like God Himself. God IS. This is because joyis a Fruit of His Spirit and an aspect of His character. Joy has power.

Joy protects the peace inside your heart.

Happiness is symbiotic, depending on the temporary condition that created it.

They both live and die together.

Happiness depends on something to happen. Notice this…

John 13:17 (KJV)

If ye know these things, happy…
