Joyous Heart :: By John Lysaught — Rapture Ready

There is no doubt we live in dire times in this world. There is seemingly no end to the demise that we face each day and the marginalization we, as Christians, face. We are pushed down, shoved aside, and otherwise, to put it lightly, disliked by the world at large. In the face of this…

Where Living Begins

A 12-week fetus in utero.

The word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you” (Jeremiah 1:4-5).

On January 22, 1973, the United States Supreme Court decided in a 7 to 2 ruling that the State of Texas could not keep a woman from aborting her unborn child. Twenty states had already permitted abortion, but the Court forced all 50 states to allow abortion for the first trimester (12 weeks). Each state was allowed to decide after 12 weeks, how to allow abortions. In my own State of Oregon, the right to an abortion is legally protected for all 9 months of pregnancy and is paid for at taxpayer expense.

One of the primary arguments in the Roe v Wade decision was that the fetus in the womb is not a person. According to…

A different kind

Daily Bible Bytes for you

Be kind to one another.

Be kind even to the unkind.

The unkind is not unkind because he wants to be unkind.

He is unkind because someone else was unkind to him.

Let us break the web of unkindness by being a different kind.

The inspirational background quote:

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Cortez: “We’re Like the World is Going to End in 12 Years!”

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

And I’m like: “Take a crash course in public speaking – after your inauguration.” (Cortez wrote that she was to be inaugurated  in January)

You can’t make this stuff up!

The World is Ending in 12 Years Comment

Brethren, this comment was taken right out of the United Nations playbook, but again, Cortez got it wrong.  The Sustainable Development Goals are projected (by the UN) to be fulfilled by 2030. They warn that “Climate Change” will destroy our planet by that year if regulations are not implemented in every country.

I’m like “That would be 11 years, Ms. Cortez.”  Evidently your math ranks right up there with your public speaking. Okay, I know that was nasty, but if a person runs for office in the United States of America – they should be able to speak to the people; at least somewhat articulately; and do simple math.

God’s Glory on Display in Israel

Looking for the Blessed Hope

Our great God, the God of all creation, loves to display His majesty! The world He created is His canvas, and His created creatures are the works of His hand. His artwork is unmatched and cannot be naturally reproduced.

Perhaps it’s a biased opinion, but I think He loves to bless Israel with His most fascinating work! For example, Israel is perfectly positioned on the migratory path of millions of birds between Africa, Europe and Asia. It is a bird watchers’ paradise. However, some, like Eastern European Starlings, spend their winters in Israel, wowing their human audience while displaying God’s glory.

Iranian General Threatens Destruction of Israel

Looking for the Blessed Hope

“We’re ready for the decisive war that will bring about Israel’s disappearance from the earth. Our young airmen are prepared for the day when Israel will be destroyed.”

~ Brig. Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh

Throughout history, Iranian leaders (and others) have threatened Israel’s existence. Such is the case today as well. However, they fail to know God’s everlasting promise to Israel.

Just a couple days ago, Iranian forces launched a missile into the Israeli Golan Heights. Not only did the Iron Dome take out that missile, but the Israeli Air Force launched retaliatory strikes on Iranian positions near Damascus. Despite contradictory reports out of Russia and some Arab news outlets, Israeli missiles hit and destroyed their intended targets.

Yet still, Iranian leaders are defiant, continuing to spew threats of Israel’s demise.

Aren’t you glad our God is a promise-keeping God! In light of Iranian threats, Amir Tsarfati shares God’s promise regarding…
