I have heard some people say that if you are not speaking words, you are not praying. That is, they believe there is no such thing as “thought prayers,” praying to God in your mind or from your heart. I disagree. I believe thoughts can be prayers. Consider this passage of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was the king’s cup bearer.
And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was before him, that I took the wine and gave it to the king.
