Why I hated some people?

Daily Bible Bytes for you

I used to hate some people. The first person whom I used to hate was myself. Not because I am a bad guy. I was very sensitive to my own sinful nature. Whenever I used to indulge myself in sinful act, immediately I would be remorseful to such an extent that it was nothing less than hatred.

Titus 3:3 NASBS
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

I hated the teacher who hit me so hard that I pissed in my own pants. I hated my head of the department who insulted me in front of other staff members. This hate list is endless. Dear friends, I haven’t forgotten all those who troubled me as a young boy and man.

If you ask me whether I could forgive them? My answer…

Answering the alleged “95 Catholic Verses” – #s 73 and 74.

excatholic4christ

Today, we will continue with our response to Dave Armstrong and his book, “The Catholic Verses,” in which the Catholic apologist presents ninety-five Bible verses or passages that allegedly validate Catholicism and are claimed to “confound” Protestants.

In the next chapter, Armstrong presents several verses/passages, which he believes support Catholicism’s doctrine of penitential suffering. This week, we’ll focus on the first two passages he introduces:

#73) Philippians 3:10: “…that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.”

#74) Romans 8:17: “…and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”

Beneath these passages, Armstrong chides his non-Catholic readers, “one brand of Pentecostal ‘name it, claim it’ Protestantism, which asserts that believers can have whatever they like merely by having…

SAVED OR SELF DECEIVED?

KNOWING THE TIME, because what's coming matters

John MacArthur on Matthew 7:21-27:
“Perhaps this is the most tragic text in all the Bible. The reality is, there will be people one day who stand before the Lord, many of them, who will assume that they are about to enter heaven only to be told they’re on their way to hell. This is the worst possible illusion that someone can have, to be mistaken about your eternal destiny, to be mistaken about your salvation.”

Book of Romans Journal – Day 1

Story Teller

Therefore
let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather
decidenever to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a
brother.Romans
14:13

When somebody offended
you, it is so easy to judge according to our own values and culture, probably
because of our upbringing too. But, the Lord’s wisdom is higher than any mans
wisdom on the earth. On the cross, the thought of forgiveness was brought upon
for the great love only God can give. Surrender
the judgment to God in mercy for your brother through prayers.
